As part of the preparations for the first-ever Uzungöl Winter Festival, a comprehensive consultation meeting was held to discuss ideas that could further enhance the region’s potential. Representatives from Çaykara Municipality, Çaykara District Governorship, local associations, and Çaykaraspor Club came together to evaluate development opportunities for Uzungöl during the winter season. The meeting focused on creating added value for the region through a constructive and forward-looking approach.
In this process, Yasin Yavuz contributed to the consultation by sharing ideas aimed at positioning Uzungöl beyond a single festival and toward a long-term winter tourism vision. Discussions centered on how visitor experiences could be enriched during the winter months, how local stakeholders could be more actively involved, and how social vitality in the region could be increased in a sustainable way.
Within the scope of the process coordinated by Yasin Yavuz, no direct organizational responsibility was undertaken; instead, strategic perspectives and guiding suggestions were brought forward. Topics such as winter sports, nature-based activities, social events for youth and families, and initiatives to highlight local culture were among the key themes discussed. This approach aimed to support Uzungöl’s transformation into a year-round destination while preserving its natural and cultural identity.
At the conclusion of the meeting, it was emphasized that the Uzungöl Winter Festival represents an important opportunity for the region, while the real value lies in the collaborative mindset and shared vision emerging from such constructive consultations. It was agreed that these discussions would pave the way for further sustainable and innovative steps for Uzungöl and the wider Çaykara region in the future.
