Joint Consultation Meeting Held for the Uzungöl Winter Festival

A comprehensive consultation meeting was held as part of the Uzungöl Winter Festival, planned to take place in Uzungöl for the first time, to discuss ideas that would carry the region’s potential further. At the meeting Çaykara Municipality, the Çaykara District Governorship, representatives of local associations and Çaykaraspor came together to assess Uzungöl’s development opportunities in the winter season. The discussion focused, in a positive spirit, on identifying new steps that would add value to the region.
In this work Yasin Yavuz contributed to the consultation process and took an active part in sharing ideas aimed at giving Uzungöl a long-term winter tourism vision that goes beyond a single festival. The main framework of the meeting was how the visitor experience could be enriched during the winter months, how local stakeholders could be involved more effectively in the process, and how social activity in the region could be increased.
In the process coordinated by Yasin Yavuz, no organisational responsibility was taken on; what came to the fore instead were strategic perspective, guiding suggestions and developmental ideas. Winter sports, nature-based activities, social activities for young people and families, and work that would raise the visibility of local culture were among the prominent topics of the meeting. This approach aimed to help Uzungöl become a destination that is alive in all four seasons.
At the end of the meeting it was underlined that the Uzungöl Winter Festival is an important opportunity for the region, but that the real gain is the basis for cooperation that emerges from constructive consultation of this kind. It was stated that this collectively developed approach will lay the groundwork for further and more sustainable steps across Uzungöl and Çaykara in the period ahead.
